While is is important to understand the history of a diagnosis

this does not define your child.

We don't treat the DIAGNOSIS.

We treat the CHILD and their NEEDS!

How do we differ from your typical pediatric physical therapy?

  • Our focus is on prioritizing the ability to move (mobility) before attempting to reinforce the ability to hold a position (stability).

  • We use unique handling and manual therapy skills including techniques used in

    • Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI)

    • Total Motion Release (TMR TOTS)

  • We have a goal-oriented approach, that YOU decide!

    • Treatment plans are designed around the child’s specific goals, which might range from improving mobility, increasing strength, or learning to use adaptive equipment, to more complex goals such as managing spasticity or improve coordination

  • We focus on functional independence to prioritize activities that improve the child’s functional abilities, such as the ability to roll, sit up, stand, walk, or participate in everyday activities.

  • We are well-versed in adaptive equipment and assistive devices to help play a role in accommodating your child's needs. We have connections with multiple vendors to allow for proper seating systems, standing frames, gait trainers, orthotics or bracing.

  • We are constantly learning and educating! Our therapists are committed to ongoing learning and professional development, ensuring they stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based treatment approaches to best support your child’s unique needs.

What does a therapy session look like?

  • Once a evaluation is scheduled, Dr. Nikki or team member comes to your location of choosing

  • The in-depth evaluation begins with a comprehensive head-to-toe assessment, including  an intake of relevant medical history, a  whole-body systems screen, and an evaluation of mobility, stability, and overall functional abilities.

  •  Follow up visits will be scheduled based on frequency and durations that best meet your family's needs and goals.

  • Throughout treatment, families will receive valuable tips, tricks and handling techniques to practice independently, supporting their child's success.
